Tank Repair & Restoration
Tank Repair – Sulphur Tank Floor Replacement
Unique safety challenges are not uncommon when it comes to tank repairs and maintenance. This project was unlike many due to the presence of sulphur under the corroded floor plates. In order to cut and remove the floor plate the team was required to be under air (SABA) at all times. A severely corroded roof also presented concerns requiring continuous tie-off to a crane while walking on the tank roof to ensure the utmost level of safety. Elite worked closely with the client safety representative to develop detailed hazard analysis and mitigation plans resulting in a highly successful and safe execution of this project.
